I am a 3D Artist who has recently graduated from the University of Derby, where I studied Computer Games Modelling and Animation and achieved a first class degree. I am a hard-working and dedicated artist currently seeking work within the UK video games industry.

Work Experience

Freelance - The Gaming Asylum: (2014 - Present)

I was hired to develop a number of effects for their upcoming video presentation for a game prototype. As they were on a tight deadline; with only a week to go before the presentation, the video and effects were developed side by side meaning close relations between me and the team were important to make sure everything was delivered to their satisfaction and on schedule.

University of Derby experience: (2013-2014)

Assistant Student lecturer – Supporting group work, supervised presentation work and took an active part in giving critical feedback.

Student Ambassador – Open days, course ambassador, and campus tours.

Student Representative – Took part in school wide meetings, took student issues to the course leaders and voiced student opinions.

Formula Force - The Pixel Bullies: (2012 - 2013)

I worked in a group of five to develop a mobile platform racing game. I was assigned the role of team leader due to my technical knowledge, I was also responsible for designing the level, lighting and I handled the majority of art asset optimisation. Our Client required that no real-time lighting techniques were to be used and all lighting information had to be pre-baked or hand painted into the colour texture. This completely changed our whole workflow and required a great deal of pre-planning and well thought out design
